Settle it in your mind once for all.  The chicken came before the egg… And it's no small matter!

Chickens came before eggs because the Bible clearly states that God created every beast of the field and every bird of the air on a single day (Genesis 1:24) and, after creating Adam, He brought them directly to Adam so that he could name them, (Genesis 2:19).  The believer who takes God's Word by faith has no more problem reconciling this than he would have a problem if God said He took eons to get the job done.  It is not a question of how long it took God to create this world, it is simply a question of what God claims He did.

If you embrace the above ideas you, most likely, embrace the doctrine of the literal inspiration of the scriptures.  If you truly believe in taking the scriptures for what they say, (except when the Bible specifically indicates it is speaking figuratively,) then you are well on your way to being a Dispensationalist.  If, on the other hand, you insist on mixing various allegorical ideas of interpretation along with varying doses of literal interpretation you will likely end up interpreting your Bible as a Preterist, an Amillennialist, a Postmillennialist, at best, or a cultist at worst.

This site, is Dispensational.  However, very little energy is devoted to reinventing the proverbial wheel.  We rely on links to fellow Dispensationalists who a fine job defending literal interpretation and the basic Dispensational plan which is revealed in God's Word.

Our main purpose:

     • To argue for better clarification in the manner in which we present Dispensationalism to others, and

     • To stress the centrality of the Lord Jesus Christ in God's covenantal program with men
by making Jesus Christ the sine qua non of dispensational thought.
